Marisa Zarczynski

The artist is a native New Yorker and was a practicing Art Therapist. Most recently, she is focusing on helping find meaningful and paid employment for individuals with invisible and visible disabilities. As an Enrollment and Career Services Coordinator for a NYC based non-profit organization, she provides a broad range of services to these populations for careers geared towards the decorative arts and art related fields.

Marisa has her B.A in Sociology from St. Lawrence University in Canton, N.Y. and her M.P.S in Creative Arts Therapy & Creativity Development from Pratt Institute in Brooklyn, N.Y. More than just making art products for sale, she describes her artwork as a healing process. She considers art a means to explore the connection between mind and body that can be non-verbal.

The artist has additional training from establishments such as LaGuardia High School for the Visual and Performing Arts, The International Center of Photography, The School of Visual Arts, The New School, Sheridan College in Canada, The Copper-Hewitt, Cooper Union, The University of the West Indies, LaGuardia Community College, The New School and The Arts Student's League.

She has both academic and art related publications. The artist is available for exhibits, commissions and various art related projects.
